These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PixScan mobile application and this website. By downloading, installing, or using PixScan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1) App usage terms
Acceptable use
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Prohibited activities
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code except where permitted by law.
- Using the app to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Interfering with the app’s normal operation (including attempting to bypass security or rate limits).
- Using the app to distribute malware or harmful content.
User responsibilities
- You are responsible for the documents and files you scan, store, or share.
- You are responsible for maintaining your device security and backups.
2) Intellectual property
Ownership
PixScan, including its name, branding, design, and code, is owned by PixScan Team and/or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own lawful purposes.
User-generated content
You retain rights to the documents you scan. We do not claim ownership of your scanned content. Because the app is designed to work offline, we generally do not receive your scanned documents.
Trademarks
PixScan and related marks may be trademarks of PixScan Team. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
3) Disclaimers
Service availability
We strive to keep the app available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change or be discontinued.
Accuracy limitations
The app provides scanning and image processing tools. Results may vary depending on lighting, camera quality, and document condition. You are responsible for reviewing exported documents before relying on them.
Technical support scope
Support is provided on a best-effort basis via support@pixscan.app. We do not guarantee response times, though we typically respond within 24–48 hours.
4) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixScan Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any) during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PixScan Team from claims arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
5) Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts in the applicable jurisdiction unless applicable law requires otherwise.
6) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via this page.
